Injection Molded Bobbins for the Electronic Industry
At R&D Molders, Inc., we can employ innovative molding processes to provide an efficient manufacturing solution for high and low volume mix projects. The electronic packaging parts shown here are used for parts sorting in a manufacturing automation application. The parts are molded out of a variety of materials including polycarbonate, PET, Noryl, and Valox, using molding equipment that ranges from 55 to 300 tons. Our breadth of experience encompasses a wealth of material knowledge from common grade plastics to advanced engineering resins.
Insert molding capabilities were utilized in this project to assemble components during the molding process, eliminating secondary assembly processes. Components were further machined, holding tolerances of ±0.003”, to create the desired part features and then hot stamped and silk-screened, according to customer specifications. Our capabilities include numerous secondary machining and finishing processes that provide customers with a single source fabrication solution. In process inspection methods were used throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that all customer requirements were met.
